Premiership Football

Fantasy football starts tomorrow. I have joined a group and my team has 2 Man U players and 2 Hotty Totty players.

Wish me luck.

I must get around to doing that this weekend. I've spent most of today corresponding with a long lost cousin in Scotland.

Don't forget you can change a player every week or save up and change 2 at once.

I have to admit I've made a change this week to improve the team

I didn't manage to get around to registering. More moving problems and the unexpected discovery of a cousin in Scotland whom I hadn't seen for over 50 years took up all my time in the past week.

I think that you can join late?

I've not got time to look at my team, but it will have my full attention when I am back!

Saturday - Man City v Chelsea.

Can City be the first team to stall Chelsea's storming start to the season?

Chelsea are favourites.

Some current odds for who will be the Premiership Top Scorer:

Drogba 5/2
Tevez 7/1
Rooney 16/1
Hernandez 120/1
Torres 15/1
Van Persie 70/1
Bent 10/1
Berbatov 7/1
Bellamy (some mistake surely!) 310/1

Best Spurs player Pavleyochenco 80/1

I've surprised at most of those but particularly Van Persie.

Oh dear, how are the mighty Liverpool fallen losing at home to Blackpool

Nick you have to remember Bellamy is out n load for the season to a championship team so his real odds are probably 3,000 to 1

It's very sad to Liverpool in 18th place. For Blackpool, I have nothing but praise. They are a credit to the Premier League - both players and fans.

Yeah - my In-Laws are Cardiff supporters so I couldn't not know!

I put 2 Liverpool players in my Fantasy Team because I expected them to hammer Blackpool, so yes - well done Blackpool! There are 38 matches to a season so I don't think things are overly significant yet, & I don't see a team with Gerrard & Torres getting relegated, but their situation (& Man Utd.'s for that matter) is alarming in that they have a lot of overheads & a big wage bill that means that they need European Football, and Sponsorship to avoid a Leeds United type spiral.

I wouldn't want to be turning up for work in a Manchester Office this morning with City going ahead of United!

CAn someone explain in sensible terms why

Portsmouth go bust and get deducted 9 points, yet Liverpool won't get any deducted because it's a holding company, I thought that applied to Portsmouth as well.

Surely if thats the case all that any club needs to do is create a holding company and transfer debt to that then no-one gets points deducted

A song has even been made up from the tune of amarillo.

When the day is dawning,
on a scousers's Monday morning,
How I long to be there, the bottom 3 is waiting for me there.
All around the city, where I lay my hat.
They say thanks to Torres, the useless Spanish twwwwhatttt!!!!!
Is this the way to relegation? The laughing stock of the nation. Dreaming dreams of trips to Preston.
Days out in Scunthorpe wait for me sha la la la la la la la

My Fantasy Football team is a bit of a mess,
