Steve Coppell has laughed off reports that Michael Owen could be the next England international to join Bristol City.

With veteran World Cup goalkeeper David James having made a shock switch to Ashton Gate this summer, reports appeared which suggested the Manchester United striker could be set to follow suit.

Robins boss Coppell moved swiftly to brush aside claims that Owen could join the Championship side on loan to build up his fitness, saying: "It's fantasy island stuff.", Coppell continued: "We've tried for Rooney, Ronaldo and Messi, but they haven't returned our calls yet.

"We held discussions with Michael Owen about travelling down in his helicopter but it's not come to anything."

The way I read the statement Fergie has said he will play Owen & Rooney against Chelsea on Sunday for 45 mins at least. I might have misinterpreted him, the statement was ambiguous & might have meant that they will get 45 mins each. Of course then there are the mind games .....

I've got a team in http://fantasy.premierleague.com - is there any interest in setting up a league for members here?

OK - I'll put up prizes. First question is to pick a Fantasy League to base it on. I'm biased in that I've already picked a team in the league mentioned. An alternative would be The Telegraph which has the advantage that every entrant gets a copy of Championship Manager 2010.

Thoughts? I'd better start it this week, I'll budget on £50 for prizes but we'll need nearly 20 competitors. I reckon I can get 10+ (especially with cash prizes!).

Ok so who's allowed to enter ?

and we could just rerun last years with the same name the clarendon championship

and there's a question why do we say champion chip yet spell it champion ship

If we are allowed I'm sure I can get a load of people I know to enter

Anyone can enter, but I was thinking of having a requirement of having posted in the Forum regularly (say once a week) to qualify to win the cash prize.

I spell and say it Championship, never heard of Championchip.

What's the advantage of using last years? I don't even know where it is.

Keith - any chance of changing the League name? (There is a typo, it's Clarendon, besides Pimlico Flats would be better).
