@Linda - it took us a while too, we still sometimes wonder if we're the only ones here...the World ended and nobody bloody told us lol

I think it must be an "age thing". We are both approaching our twilight years.

Neither of us regret moving. We've made a couple of visits back to the old area as our elder son still lives there but have no desire to move back. In any case, our son and his wife are moving down here as soon as they find a suitable house.

We've been here 23 years and trips to a city (like Leeds) come as a bit of a shock...

I'll grow older disgracefully (like my mother) I expect and have been practising for some time :lol:

I was chatting to the wife yesterday about Cities - she loves Cardiff, I think it's only 5/10 & prefer Durham, York, Chester, Exeter, Norwich - they are all "rural" cities.

Lincoln has a castle, a cathedral and the best street in Britain, lincolnshire has the best food.

so why would I wanna live in london etc.
